Russia warns of “ISIS” increased activity in Syria

On Thursday, the Russian Foreign Ministry issued a statement that warns of “the increased activity of ISIS in some Syrian regions,” expressing its concern on this matter.

The Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman, Maria Zakharova, said that “the recent intensified operations of ISIS sleeper cells in eastern and central Syria raises growing concern to Russia,” noting that these operations are taking place within the “SDF” regions as well as the Syrian state’s.

The Russian diploma confirmed that ISIS militants carried out several attacks on Syrian army sites in Badia region, which were all addressed.During the past month, the Syrian Badia was multiply  attacked by ISIS cells, mostly on the countryside of Salamiyah  city in Hama Governorate, noting that all these attacks made no advance for ISIS in the region.

A week ago, “ISIS” terrorists carried out the most severe attacks over two consecutive days, as violent battles broke out between the Syrian army and the militants on the axes of “Rahjan” and “Athria” in Hama eastern countryside, in addition to the axes representing Aleppo – Hama – Raqqa, from the Badia side, killing more than / 14 / ISIS militants and wounding about / 20 / others.
