Data from the German Federal Employment Agency showed that the unemployment rate in Germany, the largest European economy, rose unexpectedly in March 2023 to the level of 5.6%.
The agency said that the unemployment rate in Germany rose this month (March 2023) to 5.6%, from 5.5% recorded in February.
The result of March 2023 contradicted analysts’ expectations, and analysts, in a survey conducted by the DailyFX portal, expected the index to remain at the level of February 2023.
