The American magazine “Forbes”, citing a survey conducted by the research firm “Yakov & Partners” and the recruitment agency “Head Hunter”, reported that the majority of Russians working abroad are interested in returning home.
According to the results of the survey, 62% of the respondents are ready to return to the country in the near future, either for personal reasons or because of better chances of finding a job.
“Among the main reasons (for returning), personal circumstances, better job opportunities and better economic prospects for the country as a whole (Russia) are highlighted,” said Elena Kuznetsova, a co-author of the survey.
Overall, according to analysts, the main factors for job selection for job seekers in Russia remain the employer’s financial stability, while 89% said their job choice would mostly depend on salary.
The majority of respondents stated that large and private Russian and international companies are their ideal places to work.
Amid the conflict in Ukraine and ensuing Western sanctions, Russia faced an outflow of citizens last year, which was evident after the announcement of partial mobilization last September, but Russia is now seeing people repatriate.
