Nabil Abu Rudeineh, spokesperson for President Mahmoud Abbas, stressed today that Gaza is an integral part of the land of Palestine and falls under the jurisdiction of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), saying that Israel’s attempts to separate Gaza from the West Bank are destined to failure.
“No matter the pressures and continuous threats, such a separation would not be allowed,” said Abu Rudeineh. “The consolidation of Israel’s occupation in the West Bank, Gaza, and East Jerusalem would not bring security to anyone.”
Abu Rudeineh called on Israel to cease its aggression against the Palestinian people in Gaza and the West Bank, and urged the U.S. administration to take immediate action to stop Israel’s campaign of genocide in Gaza.
“Security and stability in the region and the world could only be achieved by ending the Israeli occupation and establishing an independent Palestinian state within the 1967 borders, including the West Bank, East Jerusalem, and Gaza,” he pointed out.
The presidential spokesperson emphasized that “ending the occupation is the key to achieving security and stability. Any international efforts would be futile as long as the occupation of the West Bank, Gaza, and East Jerusalem persists.”
“Ending the occupation remains the only solution to restoring stability and preventing the ongoing escalation of tensions in the entire region.”
