On Tuesday 4/2023, Yemeni people took part in massive and angry rally in solidarity with Palestinian people, denouncing the crime of burning the Holy Quran in Sweden.
In the rally, the participants raised flags and slogans denouncing Zionist aggression against Palestinian people in Jenin city and its camp and condemning all other Zionist crimes in Palestine.
The participants burned the Zionist and American flags, condemning Zionist aggression for the second consecutive day, which has so far resulted in dozens of martyrs, wounded and detained.
The participants deplored the Government of Sweden’s deliberate provocation act of one and a half billion Muslims by burning copies of the Holy Quran and abusing religious sanctities all over the world.
The representative of the Islamic Jihad in Yemen, Ahmed Baraka, gave a speech as the Palestinian factions in which he affirmed that Palestinian people had decided to take their right by their own hands, sparking the armed intifada in West Bank in Palestine.
“All attempts to circumvent the intifada in the West Bank will not succeed,” Baraka said, “and the Jenin Mujahideen today shorten more than 100 years of the sacrifice of Palestinian people.
Baraka emphasized that Jenin heroes are taking victory today despite power imbalances, fighting with their own personal weapons an aggression possessing the strongest weapons. He added that the Zionist enemy possesses Western support, and the complicity of many corrupt Arab regimes whom are without dignity and self-esteem.
A statement was issued in the rally reaffirming the principled and supportive position of Yemeni people and their standing alongside the jihad and resistance movements in their fight against the enemy. It also affirmed the full readiness to participate in the general battle against the Zionist enemy in defence of Palestine and Islamic holy places.
The statement strongly condemned the criminal Zionist aggression against the Jenin camp, stating that the enemy would not have dared to carry out its criminal military campaign against the Jenin but with American support and protection.
The statement strongly deplored the crime of burning Holy Quran in Sweden, considering this conduct as “a major crime targeting Islam and Islamic sanctities and Muslims”, explaining that the crime of burning the Quran stands behind the Zionist lobby in the countries of Europe and the West in general.
