Cuban Foreign Minister condemns US and NATO ally attacks on Yemen, considering it an act that encourages genocide in Gaza.
Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez condemned the attacks launched by the United States and NATO in Yemen and their violation of international law.
Rodriguez considered that such actions encourage genocide in Gaza, reiterating the call for an immediate ceasefire in the Palestinian territories.
Furthermore, Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel expressed steadfast support for South Africa’s lawsuit filed before the International Court of Justice against ‘Israel,’ highlighting the crimes and acts of genocide committed against the Palestinian people. He emphatically declared, ‘We will never stand among the indifferent.’
US carries out strike on Yemen
On Saturday, the US Central Command (Centcom) confirmed that US forces carried out a strike that targeted an alleged radar site used by the Yemeni Ansar Allah movement in Yemen.
“This strike was conducted by the USS Carney (DDG 64) using Tomahawk Land Attack Missiles and was a follow-on action on a specific military target associated with strikes taken on Jan. 12 designed to degrade the Houthi’s ability to attack maritime vessels, including commercial vessels,” Centcom said in a statement on X.
