RIYADH: Energy firm Saudi Aramco is potentially reviewing operational strategies as the oil giant engages in discussions with drilling companies to suspend its offshore processes for one year.

Pointing to the still paltry share of renewable energy in global supply, the head of Saudi Aramco described the current energy transition strategy as a misguided failure on Monday.

RIYADH: Energy giant Saudi Aramco is eager to enhance cooperation with China, particularly in areas such as carbon capture techniques, stated the company’s CEO. 

DHAHRAN: Aramco President and CEO Amin H. Nasser today emphasized the need for a new, realistic pathway for the energy transition that includes oil and gas. In a keynote speech at CERAWeek 2024 in Houston, Texas, Nasser said the current transition strategy “is visibly failing on most fronts as it collides with five hard realities.”

RIYADH: Saudi Aramco raised the April’s official selling price for the flagship Arab light crude it sells to Asia, while differentials for Europe were trimmed, according to an official statment.

RIYADH: Energy firm Aramco’s technology arm was one of several companies to sign deals at the LEAP conference, along with global brands Nokia, IBM, and Mobily.
