The UK’s defense minister Grant Schapps has said that the country is exploring options for shipping much-needed assistance from Cyprus to Gaza, including offloading aid in Israel where it could pass through the Kerem Abu Salem (called Kerem Shalom by Israel) crossing with the Gaza Strip.
Speaking on Friday, Shapps said the aid “could go to Israel directly and even through Kerem Shalom that the Israelis have opened”.
